This week our schedule is very different.  We had a teacher workday on Monday, off for Election Day on Tuesday, and Wednesday is a parent/teacher conference day.  The entire month is full of days off, so it will be difficult to get all those special days planned and taught, however I am up to the challenge!

While out today I went into Target.  Dangerous I know.  However if you can run to your nearest Target, don't walk RUN!  I found some really neat items on their dollar section.

Little Monkey Erasers - SO cute!! I plan on using them to make a game for my math centers.  They came in a package of 12. 12 for $2.00.  I could not pass them up.

Little Bird clips - I thought they were perfect for a literacy center game or math game.  They came 3 in a package.
 3 for $1.00

Below is my favorite find! Gingerbread house and gingerbread man.  They are LARGE too.  $1.00 for each.  Target manager said they will get a new shipment in each week.  They didn't have enough for my class.  So I plan on checking back next week.  The code # is 234 03 0400.  They also have a snowman and a Christmas tree.  Good Luck!! My First Time at Blogging!

This is my first blog!  I have always wanted to begin, however I never thought I could start.  I have been following such wonderful blogs for over a year.  I hope to one day become like they are in their blogging world.

I am a Kindergarten teacher and have been for the past 25 years.  I LOVE my job and would not trade it for anything.  I teach 27 students in a full day program.  We work very hard in reading and writing and math.  I have worked very hard to create literacy centers and math centers to help teach all the objectives we are responsible for teaching.  This is one reason I have been following many of the teacher blogs out there.  I want to be able to create centers in reading and math to help all my students succeed.

Recently my assistant and I presented a workshop in our county on Math Centers.  My assistant and I have worked very hard over the past year and a half to create math centers that cover all six of our curriculum strands we are responsible for teaching.  The response was more than we anticipated!  The teachers that attend our workshop were the best.  They loved the presentation and they really wanted to team together to create more math centers to use in their classroom. With all the positive energy I received from my fellow teachers, I am taking on the task of Blogging.  Wish me luck!
